    Priest in the Middle
I'm more experienced than the true initiates in our guild, but I'm still so far behind the masters! There's no one anywhere near my level of progress and expertise. It's so frustrating and hard being so very much between and so removed!
...That's the sort of thing that's supposed to go into entries in this magical-energy-driven journal community, right? Letting off steam about the turmoil of life as it is in the liminal stages at which we percieve ourselves? I've heard it called "angst," though I'm not entirely sure most of the people that use that word really know what it means--not that I claim to be an expert, either.

In truth, despite my lack of experience-wise compatriots within the Sidewinders, they've been quite giving, and I appreciate it! Loche, Bengala, and Tanoo, in particular, often send me cloth to practice my weaving with, and occasionally magic items to disenchant. Loche and Tanoo have provided assistance in completing a few of the errands I've been entrusted to run, as well. And my skill at enchanting has now risen enough that I can actually provide useful benefits to them in return! I feel like I'm beginning to help the guild on a tangible level--even though I don't actually contribute anything of note when we're fighting together.

It is difficult to adventure on my own in the increasingly dangerous lands to which I am sent. Part of this is due to my choice of battle specialty--Priests are truly trained to be at their best when supporting a group by way of healing. When fighting alone, it can be difficult to provide enough offensive power to efficiently take down my foes. Even with my concentration in the damaging arts of Shadow, I fall far short of the power of a decent mage. I don't dislike my path as a priest, though--at the very least, I can claim it as an excuse for my failures during my lone battlefield time. If I were one of the ilk who summons and controls demons, say, and I failed, I would have little excuse for it!

It is my hope that, in the future, I shall have more specific accounts of adventures to relate here.
